Is LeAnn Rimes the only woman who can't fill out a Herve Leger bandage dress?

By Daily Mail Reporter

Not a tight fit: LeAnn Rimes in the classic bandage dress at the Herve Leger Show, Spring 2012 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week show

It's the miracle dress that has been a mainstay on the red carpet for years and looks stunning on curvy stars like Catherine Zeta-Jones, Kate Winslet and Jennifer Love Hewitt.

But the Herve Leger by Max Azria bandage dress, famed for hiding any lumps and bumps and hugging women's curves at every angle with its skintight fabric, managed to look baggy on super-thin singer LeAnn Rimes.

The 29-year-old, who has consistently made headlines for her thin frame this year, wore a dress by the designer to his Fashion Week show today in New York.

Slender: LeAnn posed looking thinner than ever in what is usually a figure-hugging look on most women

Excited: The singer told fans on Twitter that she loved the 'insane' collection by the designer, seen here with actress Michael Michelle, Byrdie Bell and model Jessica White

And while the elasticised garment usually hugs the hips, thighs and décolletage of its wearer, the fabric draped around LeAnn's hips and stomach, and hung far from her slender thighs.

The singer wore her nude version with platform heels and a matching clutch bag, and loved the collection.

She tweeted from the show: 'Insane Herve Leger collection I just saw backstage! Getting ready to witness a fabulous show!!!!! Cage boots......my obsession!'

Slim: While still thin, Gossip Girl star Jessica Szohr chose the right size dress for the event, held at the Lincoln Center

Other starlets in attendance at the show had more success in filling out their bandage dresses.

While Gossip Girl Jessica Szohr hardly has any pounds on LeAnn, she chose a better-fitting dress that clung to her figure.

The actress teamed her electric blue frock with suede heels and her new long-bob hairstyle.

Short and sweet: Katie Cassidy donned a bright red skirt by the designer which she teamed with a navy shirt for the show

That's how you do it: Ashlee Simpson filled out her Herve Leger dress perfectly

While most attendees opted for bandage dresses Katie Cassidy donned a bright red skirt by the designer which she teamed with a navy shirt for the show.

Ashlee Simpson filled out her black dress in all the right places, emphasising her cleavage with the frock's crossover neckline.

The mother-of-one added black platforms with a thick ankle strap and silver-tipped toes and a leopard-print clutch.

Ashlee sat with Jessica and her former Gossip Girl co-star Katie Cassidy, who also chose a bright blue dress, in the front row.

LeAnn also sat front and centre to watch the collection, next to actress Janina Gavankar.

The singer's inability to properly fill out the eye-wateringly tight dress that makes even the most slender of supermodels look curvy does little to back up her insisting that she is a normal weight.

Yesterday, LeAnn looked thinner than ever in a draped dress which did little to hide her tiny frame.

The country star's breastplate, arms and legs appeared incredibly bony as LeAnn arrived at SiriusXM Radio in Manhattan for an interview.

LeAnn is frequently defending her slight frame, and said in a recent interview she is fed up with people suggesting she is suffering from an eating disorder.

She told America's People magazine: 'For someone like me who is healthy, who works hard for my body, it’s very frustrating.

'I work out and take care of myself, and not in an over-obsessive way. People are calling me bulimic or anorexic and these are real issues and diseases that I don’t have.'

LeAnn also found her weight in the headlines again last month when E! host Guiliana Rancic labelled the singer as the celebrity she would most like to feed up.

Draped in grey: LeAnn posed on the red carpet before the event in an ethereal smoke coloured dress

The comment came after Rancic gave an interview about the new Italian restaurant in Chicago she is planning to open with husband Bill.

'She lost a lot of weight from all the stress in her life,' she said. 'She seems a little thin right now, and I think she looks great when she's a bit curvier.'

A livid Rimes immediately took to her Twitter to fire back, even inviting Giuliana out to dinner in the sarcastic post.

'@GiulianaRancic hey, we should go to dinner sometime. You get criticized all the time for how small you are. You can see just HOW much I eat and maybe put a stop to this crazy "shrinking" once and for all.....oh, & then we should workout together!

Good luck with your restaurant!!!! she wrote.

The star has also addressed criticism over her shrinking size on Twitter.

She wrote in April: 'Dear lord! I do not workout too much nor do I starve myself. I'm so over this and moving on.'

Another star who appeared to have shed a few pounds is America's Next Top Model host Tyra Banks, who showed off her slim frame in a tight blue and pink dress.

The 37-year-old presenter attracted criticism in 2007 when she was photographed looking heavier in a swimsuit on holiday.

She said at the time: 'I still feel hot, but every day is different. It's when I put on the jeans that used to fit a year ago and don't fit now and give me the muffin top, that's when I say, "Damn!"'
